MENTAL HEALTH SPAIN reaffirms its commitment to inclusion by renewing its Bequal PLUS certification

    [post_content] => [vc_row][vc_column width="3/5"][vc_column_text css=""]La Confederación SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA ha renovado el sello Bequal PLUS, que otorga la Fundación Bequal, destacando su continuo compromiso con la inclusión de personas con discapacidad y el cumplimiento de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) de la Agenda 2030. El encargado de recibir dicha distinción ha sido Nel González Zapico, presidente de SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA, de manos de José Luis Martínez Donoso, director general de la Fundación ONCE y vicepresidente de la Fundación Bequal.

La entrega del sello se llevó a cabo como cierre del acto conmemorativo organizado por SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA, con motivo del Día Mundial de la Salud Mental 2024, celebrado el 7 de octubre, en el HUB Por Talento Digital de la Fundación ONCE. Cabe destacar, se trata de un logro fruto de la recertificación llevada a cabo por Bureau Veritas, evaluando aspectos clave de su gestión, desde recursos humanos y accesibilidad hasta acción social y compra responsable.

El reconocimiento refuerza la misión de la Confederación SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA de defensa de los derechos de las personas con problemas de salud mental, para mejorar su calidad de vida. La certificación también refleja su dedicación a implementar buenas prácticas que contribuyen a la reducción de desigualdades, en línea con los ODS número 8 y 10.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width="2/5"][vc_single_image image="129555" img_size="full" add_caption="yes" onclick="link_image" css=""][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="2/5"][vc_single_image image="129567" img_size="full" add_caption="yes" css=""][/vc_column][vc_column width="3/5"][vc_column_text css=""]Tras recibir la distinción, González Zapico agradeció el reconocimiento de la Fundación Bequal, así como de la Fundación ONCE y el CERMI, como organizaciones "promotoras de Bequal, por considerar que la Confederación merece renovar, un año más, este sello; y reconocer nuestro esfuerzo por poner en marcha proyectos y medidas para la igualdad de oportunidades y no discriminación de las personas con discapacidad, en todas nuestras áreas de gestión". El presidente de la Confederación añadió que "en SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA llevamos más de 40 años trabajando por y para las personas con discapacidad psicosocial y sus familias. Para defender sus derechos y favorecer que las personas con una discapacidad por un problema de salud mental puedan desarrollar una vida cada vez más autónoma y empoderada".

Asimismo, González Zapico aprovechó la oportunidad para señalar que este año se conmemora "el Día Mundial de la Salud Mental dedicado a la salud mental en el trabajo", e hizo hincapié en que "para conseguir esta inclusión en la sociedad de manera real y efectiva, es crucial el acceso de todas las personas al mercado laboral; es importante que reivindiquemos cambios y mayor implicación, tanto a la sociedad como a las Administraciones públicas y a las empresas, pero también exigirnos a nosotros y nosotras mismas ser responsables con lo que hacemos y el modo en que lo hacemos".[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=""]El presidente de SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA valoró, de esta manera, recibir dicho reconocimiento y aseguró que "ser capaces de renovarlo nos llena de orgullo y nos motiva, porque es el mejor aval que podemos tener de que vamos por buen camino. Por su parte, Martínez Donoso enfatizó que “la Confederación SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA realiza un gran esfuerzo por la inclusión. No solo cumple con los requisitos establecidos para la obtención del sello, sino que va más allá, al integrar la gestión inclusiva en todos sus procesos. La Confederación demuestra con esta renovación su compromiso sostenido con la responsabilidad social corporativa y la discapacidad. El certificado Bequal
El certificado Bequal es una fórmula de evaluación por un tercero, que determina el grado de compromiso en materia de Responsabilidad Social Corporativa y Discapacidad, en áreas esenciales como son la estrategia y el liderazgo, el compromiso de la alta dirección hacia las personas con discapacidad, la gestión de los recursos humanos, el cumplimiento de la normativa y las políticas inclusivas y de igualdad de oportunidades en todos los procedimientos de selección, acceso al empleo, promoción profesional y formación.

Además, las organizaciones que consiguen el Certificado Bequal demuestran su compromiso y contribución con el cumplimiento de los ODS, especialmente el ODS 8 sobre trabajo decente y el ODS 10 sobre reducción de las desigualdades, entre otros.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/3"][vc_single_image image="129572" img_size="full" css=""][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=""]La Fundación Bequal, entidad que gestiona la concesión de la certificación con el mismo nombre es el resultado del trabajo realizado desde 2011 en la concepción de un modelo sistematizado de indicadores certificable que reúne todo el acervo y experiencia de sus entidades fundadoras: el Comité Español de Representantes de Personas con Discapacidad (CERMI), la Fundación ONCE, FEACEM y la Fundación Seeliger y Conde.

La Confederación SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA desarrolla desde 2018, con financiación del Ministerio de Derechos Sociales, Consumo y Agenda 2030 – Convocatoria IRPF 0,7 2023/2024, un programa de Promoción y mejora de la calidad en la gestión integral de las entidades para la atención a personas con problemas de salud mental. MENTAL HEALTH SPAIN reaffirms its commitment to inclusion by renewing its Bequal PLUS certification

The Confederation has renewed the Bequal PLUS seal, awarded by the Bequal Foundation, highlighting its continued commitment to the inclusion of people with disabilities and compliance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the 2030 Agenda. It was within the framework of the closing of the commemorative event organized by SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA, on the occasion of World Mental Health Day 2024, held on October 7, at the HUB Por Talento Digital of the ONCE Foundation.

The SPAIN MENTAL HEALTH Confederation has renewed the Bequal PLUS sealawarded by the Bequal Foundation, highlighting its continuous commitment to the inclusion of people with disabilities and compliance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda. The person in charge of receiving this distinction has been Nel González Zapicopresident of SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA, from the hands of José Luis Martínez Donosogeneral director of the ONCE Foundation and vice president of the Bequal Foundation.

The presentation of the seal took place at the end of the commemorative event organized by SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA, on the occasion of World Mental Health Day 2024, held on October 7, at the HUB Por Talento Digital of the ONCE Foundation. It should be noted that this is an achievement resulting from the recertification carried out by Bureau Veritas, evaluating key aspects of its management, from human resources and accessibility to social action and responsible purchasing.

The recognition reinforces the mission of the SPANISH MENTAL HEALTH Confederation to defend the rights of people with mental health problems, to improve their quality of life. The certification also reflects its dedication to implementing good practices that contribute to the reduction of inequalities, in line with SDG numbers 8 and 10.

After receiving the distinction, González Zapico thanked the Bequal Foundation for its recognition, as well as the ONCE Foundation and CERMI, as organizations “promoters of Bequal, considering that the Confederation deserves to renew this seal for another year; and recognize our efforts to implement projects and measures for equal opportunities and non-discrimination of people with disabilities, in all our management areas. The president of the Confederation added that «at SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA we have been working for and for people with psychosocial disabilities and their families for more than 40 years. “To defend their rights and help people with a disability due to a mental health problem develop an increasingly autonomous and empowered life.”

Likewise, González Zapico took the opportunity to point out that this year marks “World Mental Health Day dedicated to mental health at work,” and emphasized that “to achieve this inclusion in society in a real and effective way , access for all people to the labor market is crucial; It is important that we demand changes and greater involvement, both from society and from public administrations and companies, but also demand that we be responsible for what we do and the way in which we do it.

The president of SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA valued, in this way, receiving this recognition and assured that “being able to renew it fills us with pride and motivates us, because it is the best guarantee we can have that we are on the right path. For his part, Martínez Donoso emphasized that “the SPAIN MENTAL HEALTH Confederation makes a great effort for inclusion. It not only meets the requirements established to obtain the seal, but goes further by integrating inclusive management into all its processes. With this renewal, the Confederation demonstrates its sustained commitment to corporate social responsibility and disability. I encourage you to continue working towards a more accessible and equitable environment for all people, regardless of their condition.”

The Bequal certificate

The Bequal certificate is an evaluation formula by a third party, which determines the degree of commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility and Disability, in essential areas such as strategy and leadership, the commitment of senior management towards people with disabilities, human resources management, compliance with regulations and inclusive and equal opportunity policies in all selection procedures, access to employment, professional promotion and training.

Furthermore, organizations that achieve the Bequal Certificate demonstrate their commitment and contribution to meeting the SDGs, especially SDG 8 on decent work and SDG 10 on reducing inequalities, among others.
