The II Meeting of Healthy Organizations focuses on healthy habits and mental health

LOGROÑO 24 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

After the First Meeting held in Burgos last year, the Second Meeting of Healthy Organizations delved into the promotion of healthy habits and mental health in companies, topics of absolute priority and concern. Good practices developed by companies in these territories were also presented. More than 50 business representatives participated.

The II Meeting was held at the facilities of Neko Escalada, (Calle Rosa Chacel, 36. Naves, 2 and 3, Logroño), a model Riojan company committed to promoting sports, socialization and health among companies and in the population, which is dedicated to the activity of climbing.

The general secretary of the FER, Eduardo Fernández, presented the meeting, accompanied by the Minister of Economy, Business, Innovation and Self-Employment of the Government of La Rioja, Belinda León. Also attending were José Manuel Barrios Costa, general director of Labor and Occupational Risk Prevention of the Junta de Castilla y León; the general secretary of FAE Burgos, Emiliana Molero and the general director of FOES Soria, María Ángeles Fernández

After the inauguration, the II Meeting of healthy organizations began with the presentation of the good practices and health promotion plan of the Constantia Tobepal company, led by Virginia Pardo, Development technician

Likewise, the experiences of the company Fisioterapia Pérez y Salcedo, and the organization FOES Soria, recognized by the National Institute of Social Security (INSS), were presented. The presentations were given by Álex Pérez, CEO of the company from Logroño, and Nuria Gutiérrez, responsible for Health Promotion in the Soria business organization FOES.

TABLE ON HEALTHY HABITS. SPORTS AND FOOD

Two good practices tables were held. The first addressed healthy habits and health promotion in the company through sports and food. Participating in this table were Manuel Navajas, director of Human Resources at Grafometal, from Logroño; Ana María del Hoyo. HS Director at Solarig, Soria; the CEO at Sportia, from Burgos, Emilio Lozano; the director of Human Resources of Casple, from Burgos, Marta de Pedro and Iraia González de Langarica, Director of the Business Training Area at Ergoactiv. TABLE ON MENTAL HEALTH

The second good practices table dealt with mental health in the company, with different reflections and initiatives. At this table, Marisa Aedo, head of Human Resources at Saint Gobain, in Logroño, contributed her ideas; Eva María Igea, director of Centers and Human Resources at Grupo Latorre, from Soria and David Rupérez, head of Safety and Environment at Castmetal, from Álava.

After the good practice tables, a demonstration sports activity was carried out, directed by Carlos Quesada, from Neko Escalada.

PURPOSE

Promoting healthy habits and increasing well-being at work is the objective of Healthy Organizations, which add their resources to facilitate the achievement of objectives.

Soria, Álava, Burgos, Cantabria and La Rioja work together in favor of the physical and mental well-being of workers, the main value and capital of the company. The business organizations integrated into CEPYME and CEOE work to promote a safe and healthy work environment that goes beyond the limits of the company and reaches families and society in general.

The business organizations grouped into ‘Healthy Organizations’ work on the healthy business model in their territories, encouraging the exchange of ideas, experiences and good practices among them, to improve their own healthy business projects. Their actions follow the model, pioneering in Spain, of the FOESaludable project, on which they are based.

Training, information, awareness campaigns and other actions are carried out by Healthy Organizations to work on emotional intelligence, improving ergonomics, practicing sports, good eating habits… in short, they work to promote health. as a competitiveness factor, contributing, among other aspects, to increasing productivity and reducing absenteeism.

The alliance continues to advance in the promotion of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their compliance in the company and in their respective organizations. Its actions are especially aimed at SMEs and micro-SMEs, 99% of the productive fabric of the territories where they operate.
