The Third Sector was born with the firm purpose of guaranteeing the rights of all people, promoting equality and respect for diversity and protecting the planet we share. With unwavering determination, we work day after day to make lSocial justice is a reality around the world. And on National Third Sector Day, we come together to celebrate and strengthen the essence of this sector and all the people who make it up: those with whom we work, volunteers, workers and allies, united by the common purpose of building a more just, egalitarian and inclusive society.
In these times of global challenges and accelerated change, Third Sector entities not only represent a bastion of resilience and hope, but are also an engine of transformation. We live in a world marked by global threats that endanger the stability and well-being of millions of people. Poverty, social and economic inequalities, war conflicts, the climate emergency, racism and all forms of discrimination, social exclusion, hate speech and misinformation, are just some of the crises we face. However, in the face of them, the Third Sector emerges as an opportunity to offer effective responses and innovative solutions, promoting the action of civil society and strengthening social justice. From direct intervention in conflict zones to proposing fairer policies, our work and voluntary action are crucial to building a more equitable and secure future.
Poverty, social and economic inequalities, which exponentially affect women and people with disabilitiesare persistent barriers that prevent the inclusion and full development of our societies. The Third Sector works tirelessly, promoting equal opportunities, and supporting people in vulnerable situations, through food assistance programs, access to decent housing, education, social health care and job placement.

The Third Sector has mobilized to provide humanitarian aid, psychological support and basic resources to the victims of these conflicts. Our organizations work on the ground to provide immediate assistance and develop long-term reconstruction and rehabilitation programs. International solidarity and cooperation between Third Sector entities are essential to alleviate the pain of those who suffer violence and to promote peace.
The misinformation and hoaxes They represent a very worrying threat to social cohesion and democracy. The Third Sector represents a vital role in the fight against misinformation, promoting critical education through educational and awareness campaigns, to foster an inclusive communicative environment based on truth and transparency.
He rise of extreme political positions It represents a significant challenge for social cohesion, due to its exclusionary ideologies that promote discrimination, hatred and intolerance towards minorities and groups at greater risk of exclusion. Its growth puts fundamental democratic principles at risk and threatens to erode the protection of civil and social rights. Faced with this threat, The Third Sector plays a crucial role in advocating for social justice, promoting inclusion and defending democratic values, working tirelessly to build more supportive, egalitarian and peaceful societies.

Third Sector entities are pioneers in the fight against climate change, implementing sustainable projects, promoting the conservation of natural resources and advocating for responsible and eco-inclusive environmental policies. Our work is essential to protect the planet and ensure a sustainable future for generations to come.
On this National Third Sector Day, we invite all social actors: international organizations, governments, companies, social agents, universities, media and all citizens, to join a global alliance for social justice and human rights. Only through a collective effort can we guarantee a future where Social justice is not just an aspiration, but a tangible reality for all people.
